An Advice For INTPs
The one thing that really holds INTPs back is their restless and pervasive fear of failure. INTPs are naturally hard on themselves, criticising and over-analysing to even the most trivial move that they made. Overcoming these fears may be the one key that could help the INTP to achieve success.
A few advice i would like to give to any INTP :
1. Do what makes you happy
Perhaps you like to experiment, play games, read, dance, sing, learn new things, etc… don’t be afraid to pursue those hobbies.
Even if it may seem like a waste of time and you may feel unproductive, in time you’ll learn that everything that happen in life has a purpose.
Don’t beat yourself up if you grow tired of learning something, leave it and learn something else. When you want to do it again, you can resume… Think of it as a pause button.
2. Imperfections are key to perfection
Don’t get too frustrated when you’re not doing so good in school, relationships, or life in general. Not everyone can be perfect at everything, instead try to understand why you’re failing and learn from it. There will always be room for improvement!
If Thomas freaking Edison had to fail 1000 times to create the perfect light bulb, what is failing once or twice in maths class right? :P
3. Don’t care about what other people think
Although INTPs may have a nonchalant attitude, they can become quite self-aware. An advice that an INTJ has told me is that
“No One cares about what you do, you may trip and fall right now but they won’t even remember it in the next 5 minutes, heck they don’t even know you!”
4. Stereotypes are just stereotypes
Stereotypes are meant to be a general view on the most common behaviour found in a group of people, it is not a guide book on what you should and should not do.
I admit, I do immensely enjoy maths, chemistry, and physics. But at the same time, I also enjoy painting, writing, and psychology. Yes, I do have a fair share of critique from people saying that It’s a waste of time to use my free time learning pointless psychology theories instead of studying, or that painting is childish. But a row of paintings and good grades later, they starts to shut up and let me be lol.
5. Self care is important
As egoistical as it sounds, remember that the most important person in your life is yourself. So try to avoid thing that stresses you out, live life, and for goodness sake’s get some sleep!
Phew, that was quite sappy lol… Anyway, I’ll cut it here since it was quite lengthy already. If you guys like stuff like this, I’ll try to post more…
@chaotischkladblok I hope that helps. Goodluck! ; )
